Fabio from Hood BMX our distributor in Italy, sent in this very rare photo of the Colosseum with snow around it. I have been there a few years ago & never would have thought it snows there, pretty cool to see.

We have been posting pretty hard over on Tumblr for the past few months so if you have an account hit us up.

Today marks the 3rd year anniversary of Colony becoming an independently owned company. In fact, we turn 7 years old as a company, on May 13th this year. We will have something cool in the works for that, so keep an eye on here for details.

I would like to thank everyone & anyone that has ever supported us as a brand & especially in these last 3 years. To all the riders, bike shops, distributors, magazines & websites out there we appreciate your support. It’s been a great journey with many more years to come ahead. We couldn’t do it without you all, so thanks !!

The new 2020 BMX Magazine just dropped here in Australia & you can check out a preview below. It’s awesome to see Dane Searls on the cover & there is a really touching feature in the pages about him as well.

Tim Wood is doing a demo out at Beaudesert on the 14th of January if you’re in the area. He will also have a couple friends with him as well, namely Kyle Baldock & Clint Bensley. Broc Raiford sent in a quick update of what he has going on so far for 2012.

He has the filmer from Odyssey out his way for a few days to get some footage for a web video, should be good to see what they come up with. He also re-vamped his bike a bit with some fresh new parts & is liking Cooper’s new Twenty Four Seven Bars. Broc has also booked his flights to go to the Toronto BMX Jam in March, should be good times ahead no doubt.

I had a good chilled ride with some long time mates at Fairfield park yesterday. What a good way to end out the year & what a mammoth year 2011 has been as well. Seems to have gone so fast with so much stuff happening along the way.

Thanks to everyone that has supported us over the past year, we do appreciate it. Looking forward to a great 2012 ahead & more good times on our bikes that we all love. Happy new year everyone !!

Our chief CAD designer, Mark Mathews-Frederick has been over in Germany for most of this year experiencing what europe has to offer. He is in Munich at the moment & experiencing a white Christmas. His Sect from a few years ago now is loving the snow he says… good to see our bikes can handle all kinds of weather.

Dane Searls is a legend of Australian BMX & this video really shows his spirit & determination. It’s sad we will never know what he could have done on these jumps in the years ahead. Rest in peace mate.
